Outreach Activity in Uguis, Nueva Era
On a hot, humid morning, we set out on an outreach field trip to Nueva Era, Avion’ s beneficiary for its annual outreach activity, not having the slightest idea how people can build roots in this remote town and how scarce transportation passes through this part of Ilocos Norte. This is the beauty of outreach activities; it adds another layer of perspective on life.
In cooperation with DSWD and thru the efforts our Directors, Von Ryan Nagasangan, Norman Nagasangan and Joy Nagasangan, Avion provided goods and foods to 27 families in the Brgy. Nueva Era. This is the company’s way of paying forward the blessings they have received this year.
Aside from the gift-giving, a food feast and an impromptu variety show was staged by the residents. This was their way of expressing “thank you” to the Avion team for taking a day off to share their time with the community. It was a very humbling gesture from the locals as this show how grateful they are. Everyone enjoyed the day.
This day exemplifies how generosity can make an impression out of people. A kind gesture multiplies tenfold even in the farthest of places. It was so easy and uplifting to get to see the smiles on the people’s faces.
